Everyday Cards 10 for $10

  I was trying to build up my stock of handmade cards for everyday uses - birthdays, hello, etc. so I made these cards from some bases and coordinating patterned papers. They would make a great gift for anyone. Who doesn't ever need to send cards, right? It's so much fun to color and these stamp sets are perfect for that!  Have you ever found a card that you really liked on the outside, but the sentiment on the inside just isn't what you had in mind? That's why I love this set -- I can customize the inside to say whatever the purpose of the card is when I am ready to use it. Notecard Portfolio

Here is a notecard portfolio that I made using a couple of weeks ago. It comes with 4 notecards and coordinating envelopes. It would make a great gift this year. Traditional Christmas Cards

Non Traditional Christmas Colors

Yesterday, I had planned to work on my Christmas cards at my MIL's house. I was going to make really pretty, fancy cards...until I realized I forgot my tool can, my Cuttlebug embossing machine, and all of my special adhesives (the kind that I would need for the fancy embellishments)! So I had to make do with what I had -- paper, stamps, colored pencils, ribbon and double sided tape.  My niece Jessica inspired these non-tradtional colored cards. I think these turned out really nice in spite of the fact that I didn't have all the stuff I needed! They are simple, fun designs that would be very easy to mass produce! Sounds like a great Christmas Card class to me!! For just $15, you can make 10 cards (2 each of 5 designs) with matching envelopes. Just bring your paper trimmer with a scoring blade and your own adhesive. I have quite the collection of Christmas stamps now so if you would prefer different stamped images, I am sure I have several that you would love! We can also take your favorite scripture, Christmas saying, quote, etc. and put it on the inside. For an additional $5, I can personalize all of your cards with your family's name, and we can add a spot for a Christmas photo.

Just like all of my classes, this one is being offered by appointment only. What a great way to get together with a couple of your friends and check something off of your Christmas to-do list!

Happy Fall Y'all!

My friend Tawnya gave me this yummy apple scented candle for my birthday last month. I had been burning it all day on Friday so my house would smell good for my weekend crop. The aroma of the candle, the cooler temperatures and a generally happy feeling just put me in the fall mood. I noticed that the first official day of fall was on Sunday and it seemed only natural to have a fall themed project for our free make & take.

Let me share it with you!

It was very simple to make :)

I used a deep orange cardstock base, cut to a  4 1/4 square. I added a golden yellow mat, on which I punched a scalloped edge along the bottom (love me some Stampin Up! punches). Next I dry embossed some leaves (Fiskars embossing Templates) on the brown triangle in the right corner. I have collected a bunch of cute fall stamps and this scarecrow is one of my favorites. I had to use it! Plus, I love to color :) I stamped the scarecrow with a black stazon ink pad and colored it in with colored pencils. I used a decorative corner punch to finish the edges. Next I mounted the scarecrow on another piece of the deep orange cardstock. What do you think of that cute little sentiment, "Happy Fall Y'all". I love it!
